I'm with you Namalack. When Terraformers and Harvesters are gone, the desire to NPC is gone. I've already finished every mission, so what will I have left at rank 2200? Not much... I hope Dan fixes this before I get there.

9 months and counting since PhoenixRev aka BinaryMan first discovered a certain NPC called Troop Carrier disappeared at rank 2201.
No responses other than a "we'll discuss it" in that time, which came 8 months after the issue was discovered. That includes zero responses to personal messages/in-game reports.
Its not too much to ask, to still be able to make our own artifact planets from terraformers, especially after all the time we have spent playing this game over the last 2-3 years.

Nam isnt it true that you can still get the research enriching artifact post 2.2k? If so why dont you just do a build a plasma workshop? sell them for a tad then the going rate and if you sell 10 thats enough for two VM 15x AP planets. Granted i know its going to take a while to get enough of those artis but its still something to do.

 I have read the comments and would like an answer from dan. He was very unclear on the npc's and hasn't responded to anything. the argument of players would be too powerful makes no sense. players with high artifact production can sell the artifacts for ctp and buy a 15x planet in less than a week. Dan made colonization costs to keep a balance to planets as some players are reaching the 100B colonization costs. Yes he could steal a planet as he scans them but the joy of the game for most people is building a planet; I'll colonize a nice vl terra with stealth screen and slowly build it up with my terraformers, a few crystals, and a gaia seed. it took some time to build and makes you feel as if you accomplished something rather than just scanning a nice artifact planet, stealing it, then fluxing it. it's a matched npc so it shouldn't have a rank limit, and Dan did say he would address the NPC's later on. The troop carrier is the main thing in the game that allows you to get your first invincible planet, and possibly your dyson(rifts as well but near impossible). taking away troop carriers would be like taking the 8 ball away from billiards, you would be able to hit other balls but there would still be something missing. There are times in which I feel like quiting since some of the most loyal and active players don't get responses. Nam has invested time, about 10 hours a day whether he's just online or actually npc'ing, pvp'ing, or battling bases. He's built a level 8 base, and 2 level 7 bases that are fully extended with the use of gp to donate the energy, he's bought all the special artifacts and if I were the developer I would at least spend a few minutes of my week to respond. He's been less active lately and I'm pretty sure other players felt this way before they quit. the game was meant to be played and if Troop carriers are taken away fewer people wold continue to play. increasing the rank wouldn't affect many people, since attack would keep growing although some players can cap on most things they hit. Give Nam and the rest of the players a response as to why troop carriers were cut off, and if you want them to just quit. They could do Planet trades which is something Dan doesn't like although quitting would be the first choice for most

Another point on top of Stuffybeary's regarding the planet scanning, is that we're running out of good planets. The only planets added nowadays are the Vorigar X planets, and the Taltheria X planets. Soon all the higher ranks will have stolen and cloaked a vast majority of the good planets, because they can no longer create their own.

What does a person have to do to get an issue resolved?
