So the notice feed is delayed, but surely the order will be the same!?

As for the question I am not answering, which one is it that you want to know the answer to?

The order the two events appear in your ship's log is irrelevant. They are happening in the same hit, but the log isn't designed to display events as concurrent. I've seen it happen several times when I am PVPing that the final shot also sets off the halc trap.

I would hate to be on the other end of it, but I admit that it amuses me when I'm the attacker. And after investing energy in the target, it's a relief to get the badge. It is exceedingly frustrating to run into a halc trap after spending energy and possibly Null Fuses (if they had other traps running).

That is just your personal opinion! I am asking about WHY it happens and what makes it acceptable! Not what you think, as it only keep the topic open to what people think and not what is accurate!

The traps effectiveness is pointless, if they are not able to do what they say and are just junk if they don't work! If other traps were available as you progressed, even if paid for, then it would be relevant to the rank and ship playing, or it becomes a useless game after certain levels and those willing to spend hundreds to level up in a day will prevail over those who work their way up and stand no chance of getting the satisfaction of having mods and artifacts that actually work for their rank!!

Here it is for you again. By definition, there is a CHANCE that it will trigger. It is working AS INTENDED. We've asked Dan to change it to automatically trigger on the second shot but he apparently feels that the current mechanic is best.

In case you didn't know, trap trigger in same order they are applied
halc trap is not 100% effective, as shown here. But it is 99%+ effective for most people, if it is applied first
but by applying other traps BEFORE halc, the effectiveness of the halc trap reduces.

That doesn't mean halc trap is useless, it works more often than not.


Would you say that zolazin sab abilitiy is useless?
well, it COULD hit a population structure, and as per its activation condition(100 or less population), that pretty much means it did nothing. Doesn't make the ability pointless thou.

Something doesnt have to work 100% of the time to make it valueable, especially like halc, which works 99%+ of the time if done right.
