I had 1,870,000,000 credits.. with a 1.8 billion upkeep.

I get this..

You did not have enough credits for your last upkeep. As a result, the modules on your ship took damage due to the lack of maintenance.

so... EVERY module I had took damage.. AND my 1.87 billion is gone also??

thats rly wierd... the only thing i can think of is your exact upkeep was more than 1.87 billion, but since the upkeep only goes to one decimal place when it hits the billions it only displays the approximate amount. i think it should be changed to look more exact, and this is a perfect example of why...

It could show you the approximate the way it does now, but tell you the specific amount with a mouse-over pop up.

Yeah, that would be pretty significant rounding error. If you want, send us an in-game support request so we can check your ship:

even if the upkeep was actually 1,800,000,001... 1,800,000,000 is what people expect to pay if they see "1.8B"

I agree with Ferrus... we should know the exact amount we're paying so we have time to ask for a few kurenite from our legion if we're a little short....

Two decimal places at the very least would be a useful update, but now people are starting to get really high upkeeps even more would be useful. Could you look into adding the extra decimals, Dan?

i've had the same issue, the game should round UP to the nearest 100 million, so if you currently owe 1,800,000,001, it should read 1.9 billion but still only subtract the exact amount you owe. i was once off by 300,000 and took quite a bit of damage to many systems because of it. at the time my upkeep was 3.7 billion so there was little way to know i was slightly off with what i needed. i had over 3,750,000,000 in the bank and still took damage.

Like I suggested before.. If not enuf fund to pay for upkeep, let modules get damaged BUT do not wipe all money out for nothing.. That way if "oops" 1 credit error.. No problem, no fund is being wiped out but you get modules damaged. Less severe penalty that way.. Right now, the penalty is too severe in my opinion (double penalty)..
