Earlier today, I was engaged by a rank 333, 100% at random because I have never engaged or been involved with the legion or person in question. As my rank is at 206, I don't feel that this should be possible, as the person who engaged wouldn't have been able to even get a badge for his attack.

Is this possibly a glitch on the battle-tab that allowed for someone of my rank to appear on someone of such a higher rank, ineligible for badges for the engagement?

i dont think you popped up normally, maybe you hit someone while they were freelancing about and when they joined a legion they shared you? only thing i could think of. either that or maybe your guarding a planet he wanted?

The planet I was guarding was not engaged so that wouldn't be the case, and the last person I did engage was in another legion and they are not in this legion.

On another note, is it okay to state the other player's name and legion to maybe help work this out?

honestly, i dont think anyone truly cares if you post it or not. especially if its to try to fix the problem. most people are pretty open about their names and legion anyway.

and just b/c it hasnt been engaged yet doesnt mean it wont, or that someone else posted it and he was weakening you. or another possibility is you hit someone in that legion sometime in the past but u dont remember it.

Yeah, I honestly don't remember messing with them, especially because of the rank differences.

There's a 127 rank difference here, so that's where my concern arises from.

I think you can see 40% your level so a 333 can see down to 200.

Really? 40% seems a bit high, especially once you get even higher ranks. That math makes it so that a rank 500 can see a rank 300, really not a fair fight there.

40% was added to add a range in which you might stand a chance. It is better then running into someone twice your level. It helps the level 900+ from hitting the lower end people and the lower end people from running into one of the 900+ and quitting from that large of gap.

But as it is if you watch your targets they are more likely challages. Given that some people of a lower rank could be stronger then you if they are trying for it.

lol, most players have been playing for a few months by the time the reach the 200s, I used to have to battle level 400s when I was in my late level 100s, you learn how to deal without and become a better player.

By the time I reached Level 300+ I was routinely focusing on hitting targets 200+ levels above me.

It's just a matter of what you want to DO int he game and how you go about DOING it.
