This game is feeling stale. I haven't seen any new ships, new aliens, new missions, or any other new content.

"Elios" doesn't count; it's come back every summer for several summers now.

What IS Dan doing with this game? I wonder whether he's largely moved on. What else does he do with his life, and does he program other games? (What games?)

Um...the Ravyn and Eye chain and post chain rewards?
Have you looked at the amount of stuff released in the last few months on the forum? There's several threads about it.
Of course, it's all higher rank stuff, but there was still a lot of stuff added.

I believe you'll find his statement still stands and holds weight though....

Both of the things you have mentioned hold no long term momentum nor do they require any concerted effort & in one case, the entire chain is predicated on a payment of $12 into the game before you can even access it.

We did have a new NPC in July which was nice, but 1 new NPC when the game sorely needs at least a dozen new NPC's spanning all rarities as well as ways to keep asses in the seats for more than 15 mins a day is also needed.

As kirk said, it's been a while since Dan released a content that interest us in long term.

Primastic planet is a good idea, but the later upgrades make us wait for a long time, and Dan didn't release any content to fill the void between.
The 6th anniversary is also interesting, but the 6 year requirement also means it does not excite those who are yet to get their 5th year reward.

As far as I can say, the biggest and most succesful content Dan ever released is Legion Mission. It's sad because he never updated a single mission within the last year, though. I bet if he did, it will spark interest on the docked ships across a lot of legions.

We had the eye, then the corruption chain, ravyn, now the genosynth release. New ct lab designs are known to be on the way. Also, while elios is around every year seasonals are expanded each year so saying it doesnt count as fresh content is to ignore the developments to each event.

It's not that it doesn't count, but the Elios content is non-permanent. The game needs long term permanent content, missions do not count as that is still just 1 minutes work per day.

A new race would be nice! Been a while....

I'll believe new CT lab recipes when they drop. Vapor 'til then.
