Notice how the comm box extends outside of the ship view frame and there is no scroll bar. It doesn't happen all the time, maybe once or twice out of 20 ships I view, nevertheless it just looks so out of place. Has anyone else seen this?

I have never experienced this, ever. I think it's a somewhat isolated case, likely caused by something you've done.

I would be willing to bet that you were ice-fishing for yellows and your raid timer reset while you were on another tab.
