The comm on my ship extends far beyond those I am able to see just from scrolling to the bottom. I can actually see part of old messages that are just outside my reach, but the scroll bar reaches the bottom and I can't access the rest.

Clear your cache and refresh the page. The visual issue should go away. Keep in mind that only a certain number of lines are available in the chat while a significantly longer record is kept in the Comm Archive.

Tried it just now, didnt help. Any other ideas?

Unless you mean the last 2 lines ducking behind the "Hide Legion Comm" button (which is normal), no... No other suggestions without seeing a screenshot.

Well I was referring to the message on my ship comm, not my legion comm, but the last couple messages just expired so I can see it all for now : /

My bad.. I missed in the first post where you said ship comm. For future reference though, try to get screenshots of any visual problems. They come in handy when you need advice on getting things fixed.
