Issue Star Chart Purgers can be used more than once on the same planet. No message "The Planet has been purged from your database." appears when you click the "Use" button a 2nd time. Normally one would click the (x) on the top right hand corner of that pop-up and receive the message "This planet is not (or no longer) within your scanning range." However, that does not happen. Instead the count of available Star Char Purgers goes down one more you get the message "The Planet has been purged from your database." again.
Change Request When the Star Chart Purger is used immediately after it has been used the message "This planet is not (or no longer) within your scanning range." should be issued and no loss of a purger should happen.
Why one has to close that window manually is another questions. Instead the message "The Planet <nameOfThePlanetHere> has been purged from your database." could be issued (similar to when you send resources or artifacts to another player) and the window could be closed as a matter of course, hence preventing the above issue from happening and adding convenience.
Not a big issue. More of an annoyance that doesn't need to happen.

For this issue specifically, we could have the window auto-close as suggested. That could help speed up the process. We'll work on that.

Maybe on a recently attacked planet (Within the last weeK) you get an ARE YOU SURE message. I myself have accidentely purged a planet in the rush of pressing the Wormwhole emmiter, and therefore the planet being gone. This has happened to others too.
