Who are you really? I wonder why people think that I'm Ryoko? It's getting a little old actually...i had to explain this to someone else aswell a few weeks ago My friend and I roleplay alot, we always have twin characters and for some reason (don't ask cause neither of us really know) we use the opposite character name on forums. as my signature says, I'm actually rank 117. If it's causing so much confusion, I'll ask my friend to request a name change~

You both seem far too definite in your opinion to be a rank 117 in a legion of 14 players that's only been going 5 months.... Who are you both really?  PS: Better get that 'friend' of yours to straighten up those names - gets very confusing for everyone trying to figure out who is who at any one time... PPS: Question is valid - you don't seem to have anywhere near enough game time up to be as sure of your opinions as you are. Are you a reset?

Funny how people who don't know myself and my friend think we're the same person. For the Record, I (Reinforce) am not a reset =) I just see things in a very linear manner, what you said was a suggestion, and not an issue that needed to be resolved due to the game being broken. (In my linear thinking) I've asked my friend to request a name change just to clear up mis-understandings.

If you want to call the age card, I've been playing alot longer than my rank belies. I've had plenty of planetary fights. Yes, the wormhole emitter is underpowered, but the reason it is underpowered it because they can re-guard immediately. (Although, the logic behind this is that you have developed teleport technology (micro-warp nacelles) and then, more importantly, time travel (trans-temporal arrays), which would allow you to get there immediately. But age is also irrelevant in any case. The halc changes are recent. Nodaf wrote: Can you please just do everyone a favor and READ the topic before posting?? This forum is for game mechanics which are completely broken. It works, to some degree at least. It's like people talk about fixing hacking. It goes in Suggestions + Ideas because hacking "works". On a complete side note, have you ever thought that your ship may be the issue? If a rank 917 attacks a rank 92 as part of planetary defence there is no issue with that. If you keep guarding, then they can keep hitting you. If they AREN'T a much higher rank than you, then you SHOULD be able to defend yourself and not get farmed. And if they don't want the planet, just leave it alone? This "issue" is not an issue at all. If I wanted to nit-pick there are alot of things I would change in this game: Calming Amps/Halcs would be removed entirely. Omicron Mines would deal 20% hull Thetacron Mines would deal 50% hull Player debuffs would not stack Mining's cap would grow as quickly as artifact You see my point? I'm sure most people can find a mechanic they don't like. Now, you should at least consider other people's idea, not just push your own. It is bull-headed, arrogant and immature. Now, kindly accept that most people do not want your idea, and either look at other's ideas or come up with a different solution.

OK I did get off topic looking at how long people have played the game, but you've brought it right back on. Yes you SHOULD, but you CAN'T because your halc has been set off and is only working one way while you are guarding the planet. So all you can do is keep throwing traps on yourself and repairing - you cannot return fire on them and you can't debuff them, but they can debuff you constantly. And they can go all day if they do want that planet, because they know that unlike normal play they can go below zero disables on you and so they can go until you run out of repairs and traps or you give up and roll over and let them take the planet, which is the only 'solution' you guys seem to come up with. There is no natural end point on the attackers side, which there would be if if Halcs and the zero count worked, and Emitters were fixed. That is what is broken. And I did consider other people's ideas - I added the suggestion of the reguard timer on Emitters so that the weird behavior of Halcs and zero counters could be avoided and game play is evened out again. So how about you consider the other side too?

First: Nobody is agreeing with you. Most people like it as is and are annoyed that you cannot attack the halc'd or zeroed player after using an artifact on them without reselecting them from the planet screen, giving them time to cage before being attacked.
Second: You are saying you can't fight back because your halcyon trap is keeping you from hitting them. Simple solution: stop using halcs. Put on KVTs instead.

The problem is this isn't an issue, and nobody is trolling. What you reported isn't broken, and the player selection absolutely has to do with this because it IS an issue.

Roll over and let them take the planet is not the only solution that has been presented to you. I said earlier, the whole conflict could have been over in 12hrs with a planet flux and possibly even sooner. There most certainly is a natural end point on the attackers side; you are simply not changing tactics to achieve it. Second, you can brick up the planet and make them spend ungodly amounts of energy to even get you into targeting range. Third, halc/calm amp are not the only ways you can defend yourself. Someone just mentioned using KTVirus. As has been said on many other threads, you can get way more traps than you can nulls (by design). So again, you are costing your enemy more time, effort, and resources just to get a single kill.
You can prevent the farming AND defend the planet. Change your tactics and tell me how it goes.
