 £ sign in comms?

Post £ sign in comms?
Not sure if this is meant you be but the £ sign in the legion comms does not function $ signs and such come out fine is there any reason for this?

Most special characters such as apostrephes (or however you spell that) and quote marks are disabled in comms. A few aren't, but that's only the basic punctuation symbols.

aye.. the £ sign is not found on standard american keyboards.... anymore... i remember seeing it i believe either on the commodore64 or the trs80... maybe both...
