I was hacked by another player.
The hack failed.
The share with other legion members button was active, but the system kept saying I couldn't because I could only do so if I had been hacked, attacked, blah by the other player (which I just had been).
The only oddity was that I used two different artifacts on the player before I tried to share it.
One was the one that removes active affects from the other player.
The second prevented them from cloaking for some short period of time.
It had only been an hour or so since they had hacked me.

not sure about this one. if you get a log entry at all it means that it was a success (RP loss), success(critical), fail(counter hack), or fail(critical fail). all of the ones that are not reported are success(no RP in Database), Fail(hack blocked).

this may be something for the support thread if true. or we need some more clarification about how this works. so far for me all successful hacks seem to be the alertable ones. i dont get hacked much

It was alerted to me as a failed hack on their part.
I was awarded some small number of research points.

You can't alert on that ship because they didn't actually do anything to cause you harm. They tried to, but failed and you actually got something in return.
