Wondering if anybody knows for sure or has evidence that a player starting a legion mission but not ever making any steps toward completion hurts a legion's odds of successfully completing the mission?

It can be concluded that as long as you participate, and progressing through it, you will help the success chance.
Although I cannot be sure that having a failed task will decrease the chance or not (He didn't explicitly say this, so probably it may reduce the chance)

Was getting yelled at because I didn't finish my tasks, and I decided to ask Dan to clear things up
