Use artifact points to make your ship stronger (get artifact planets either exclusively or at the very least 9 to 1 ratio with any other type of planet).

Avoid adding deck space as it makes you vulnerable. Your damage cap is 124 at the moment but could of been 37 if you had limited your deck space. calculation is either deck space divided by two or rank plus ninteen divided by two (largest number from the two calculations is used)

Best to research planetary production buildings before anything else.

Doing well in the game is all about getting maximum production from planets. Other stuff helps but not very much compared to artifact points.
