Don't save up x-charge cells until you have about 4k shields - the aegis capacitor gives fewer shields per cell when you don't have many shields.

Yea, I'm rank 500 and I haven't got the Aegis yet, better off saving up for Anubix first, then some Velox Thrusters. Saving the ship bots will stop you increasing size for a while, which is a good thing, keeps your damage cap low. Also, it's not clear where you are putting your rank points, put them into Tac Officers or Engineer only.

Doing lots of PVP now to get Red badges is always a good idea. As you rank it gets harder, more energy required and more halcs.

Improve your arti production above all else, yours isn't too bad for your rank, but you should never be happy with it, more is always better.

And yea, don't reset. My ship was horrible at rank 100, but with some good advice, it's not too bad now.
