I just had my first encounter with a credit card player. We figured it out because this guy used so many artifacts in about a 20 minute span, there's no way he could have gathered them all at his rank. So, he was either a multi-accounter who used his accounts to funnel all his resources to one ship (which I doubt, you should have seen the volume of artifacts he used) or he was a CC player who was just buying artifacts en masse.

I don't really have a question other than... doesn't it seem absolutely f%#@d to anybody that these guys can just circumvent the natural balance of the game by buying their way up? I had him outranked and overpowered like you wouldn't believe, but he had a neverending supply of artifacts. He used over 40 in a stretch of about two minutes until we were all out of containment missiles, etc...

Just venting.

I'm going to take a guess and say that he wasn't using GP to buy artifacts. Most CCers buy levels, not artifacts. More likely is that this person just has a high artifact production.

A few questions:
what level was the player?
and how many artifacts did they use in that 20 minutes?

Also was he in a legion? If so he may of just had a high ranking player giving him things. Or even if he was solo he could still of just had a high ranking friend who gave him all sorts of artifacts. I know I sometimes give my low ranking friends up to 100 of one type of artifact at a time. So this could of also been the case.

Seriously now. Take me for example. I'm not warmongering type of player. I am rank 215. Now if you would upset me, could you imagine the number of artifacts (be it traps, trap probes, positron clouders, PvP artifacts, you get the ideea) I would be able to dish out ? Those really stacked up over the time. I forgot to mention that besides not being the warmongering type I am the hoarding like an old dragon type of player so yeah... I got over 1k artifacts in my cargo.

thats the whole point of spending money. so you can circumvent the natural balance of the game and be better than non CC players even if they outrank you by over 3 times the level.

If a legionmate is being attacked I send him arty's.

Ya I have a good Artifact production. And I have 15 firewall traps and 10 of each of the others. Having high cloak allows you to hold these items..
