What size/rich planets would you say are worth instantly fluxing after conquering it?

What is the minimum size/rich planets that you'd consider using one?

For me it borders on VL 5xMR arti... unless there are AMAZING artifacts on it. still, I wouldn't do anything less than 3xMR.

Don't use a flux on vl 16x toxics since selling a flux could buy you 2 of them. Even massive 18x irradiated are ehh.

Using one on a 17x colossal research plasma is ehh. Depends on who you stole it from. I would rather throw some toys on my plasma and let you have it in exchange for the flux. Most people you can brick the plasma and wait a week to temporal flux.

Artifact planets.
I draw the line at massive 3x or vl 5x.

Special.
Storage planets are ok to use one if you're limited in extractors
Planets with perm effects are usually fine as long as they are worth upgrading like an icy with SS

Just remember to look at the legion and choose based on that. Some top 10 legions are terrible at taking back planets and some legions have 20 sabs to take it back.
Bricking and temp fluxing is usually the way to go but once in awhile you meet someone really good about tapping the planet every 3 days and no amount of zeroing will stop them.

I have planets on my scans that are owned by top 10 legions and are undefended between x1 and x3 mega rich arti planets... mainly VL in size

No problem taking it but the problem is keeping it... They would probably try to get it back and sab the obviation barriers I put on them. So in those circumstances, would you flux it anyway? If it was below your x3 massive requirements??

I would say if you cant get more than 400APH from the planet using a planet flux is an absolute waste!
Don`t flux any other planet than arti planet!

If I was you I would take them and brick with defense and buff it with ion repulsors each day and try to temp flux.
You will learn how each legion responds to you. How they respond to me is probably very different so I can't help here.

I haven't got to the mission where you get temp fluxes :(

Then get it. it is an essential tool to getting and keeping good real estate

^This

Also on the way, you'll acquire 3 Planet Fluxes and it's really nice to have at least 1 on hand all the time.

^ this + 1, and with the 1x - 3x pp planets of high rank players / legions

I know Tree already went through a lot of the stuff to look at when it comes to deciding whether or not to use a hard flux but when it comes to those undefended pp planets the main reason why they aren't being defended is that they are very common, far more common than getting a planet flux.

One way you can definitely say a planet is not worth using a hard flux on is if you could buy it for less than the cost of a flux. At the moment a flux is worth about 1500 ctp, so that means almost any mining planet isn't worth it and most research planets until you get up to 17x MR and higher (I'd say only research planets over 17x cause a plasma uplift is only a fraction more than a flux). Figuring out the exact value of arti planets is a bit harder but for it to be worth over 1500 ctp its going to be somewhere around what Kara and Tree were suggesting, upwards of 4x MR and depending on planet type it really has to be Massive or larger to definitely be worth more than your planet flux.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with the brick and temp flux a week later when it comes to those undefended pp planets. You are going to get harassed by whoever you steal it from and they can keep tapping it after that so you end up with a planet producing practically nothing that cost a bit to brick in the first place and is now just taking up space. When you could have bought a planet with the same stats for 500-1k ctp that is free from other scans and purged by the seller, or even just scanned one yourself as they really aren't hard to find.
