I have a fellow who's stubbornly tough aka stupid (he has to use3+ artifacts to beat me since there's a 20 level difference) pestering me. I just hacked a sweet planet out of him. I'm at max planets tho. If I let a legion mate take one of mine can i then proceed to take his??

thanks

There's no way to let a Legion mate take one of your planets, unless they themselves have also scanned it, and then they leave the Legion and take it. If you can do that, it would work.

Wouldn't a planet share followed by a 5GP abandon colony also work?

ack a colleague of mine bought up the same point w/less finesse Darth. I had thought there must be a better way from reading how the dysonians were handling recovering a planet (lol other legions might do it w/style too but not have posted) by having one get it and give it to another in their legion

Yeah, I just assumed he didn't want to do that when he talked about giving the planet to someone else.

I do believe (however i could be wrong) that many of the Dysonians invest real world money into the game, so they would therefore have the GP available for this kind of strategy. I personally don't know all the details about the Great Dysonian War, so I can't really say how they are doing any planet swapping, but this seems to be the easiest and most direct method to me. Perhaps mojo or bobsmith will make an appearance here and shed some light on a good way to do a swap.

The reason the Dys could do is because the planet was never fluxed so another dys could take the planet from the planet theif, then the original owner, who still had the planet in his databank could go and invade the planet after leaving the legion. But yes pretty much if your going to give a planet to another legion member they either have to have already scanned it or you have to pay 5 gps to drop it, which also means any and all structures on the planet are automatically destroyed.
