So, I'm curious about this.

Currently I would say that :

How to : After triggered a Firewall, activate Dark Pyramid and keep on hacking spree.

How to increase crit hack chance, and what's the best chance?
Will increasing your scan works?
Will using hacker, spy, and zolazin, explorer (for the +%scan, if it does increase the chance for crit hack) works?
Will using sha'din algorithm works?

Note: I would say that try to get this medal soon before 200+, because most ppl at higher level tends to have some scan that prevent our 50 cloak ship hack their ships

This is how I would do it.
Get lots of tms a few quantum flares. hack at rustytincan worgen and ejakaii on the killsboard since they have smaller ships so less scan but lots of actions normaly. hack all three once nulling any overloads and then hack your bt till you get a overload. pop a dark pyramid and use a couple of flares to bring their scan down below your cloak. then hack away and be sure to say thank you once they are out of hacks. Once your done hide under a rock for a few days while you get zero'd back. if you have achived the medal well done if not repeat. IF you have cypher bots allready keep them on since you retain the hack bonus.
Also putting scanners and using a sha'adin algorithm may be helpfull to make sure you drain the maximum research you can

Well you guys have actions and since everyones afraid of you guys for some reason Im not sure why I may as well pick up some free raids (not hacks as much anymore I got critical on one of you guys yesterday ) If I get zero'd I get zero'd

Scan *does* factor in to hacks. However, the ships you find in your BT depend on the scan you are running. If you run little or no scan, you find ships with little or no cloak. Etc. So it is actually harder to find hacking targets if you up your scan after hitting a trap. If you want to do that, the best way would be this:
(1) load BT with no scan
(2) in another tab, install extra scan modules
(3) back in the first tab, hack everyone you can
(4) remove scan modules, cycle BT, rinse and repeat

Don't use Tachyon Cylinders or Subspace Seekers for this. I tried and it failed miserably because I could no longer see any ships I could hack.

that makes sense, if you up scan and got heavily cloaked ships, the chance of success at hack (scan vs their cloak) will fall significantly

Yeah unless you catch me when im working on "sit around and do nothing" medals (which I've completed all of them now), I will pretty much answer any badge with a badge of my own. On occasion I just don't care to retaliate, but that's a rarity. Anyways, now that we are on each other's news feed, hopefully one of us will get that mythical Firewall medal. I can't wait to have that monkey off my back.

Someone with 50+ actions once badged me and I was tempted to go for the medal. I hacked the player to set off his firewall. Then I activated a dark pyramid, a sha'din algorithm, a stealth optimizer, and stealth phase balance. Then I hit him with 7 positrons and about 10 flares and proceeded to zero his hacks. I managed to get a crit hack after about 30 attempts.
