Hello pvper and .. other people in this thread I will try to post the maximum of data/test about succesful pvp tactic and build. Will also add information on who to target and how. You can at any time suggest a test and I will gladly try it.

Lets start with a test of today : The 5 debuff

Today I tried on 50 people (some on the forum, some not) to kill them with 5 debuff (emp sphere) each. After several kill it showed to improve chance to score a kill when someone have omicron and krionus in front of is halcyon (in other word 75% of the time when the trap probe was showing 4 traps (high chance of halcyon) I scored a kill (finaly a way to get kill on 3/5/5 people). After that come a question : You will get alerted and beated to death... well I did verbally  and got raided twice and hacked once (also a disable but that come from a badge) I didn't seem to be alerted or they just didn't attacked me ...

Info on targets:

There is 4 different build of ship (yeah there might be difference in the same build but they all generaly are the same)

The mission build: By far the easiest to kill this build is composed from various useless module as TO generator with no shield module and not a lot of deck. People using it mostly spend their time doing mission and that all. They are the second highest user of halcyon. If you get to kill those I suggest using the 5 debuff tactic.

The pvper: Generaly the strongest (not all the time I admit) these ship are strong for their lv as they are equipped with all war module (cannon, thruster , hull) and pvp doesn't grant much exp so a bit of slow ranking in this. They are mostly using krionus as they know the omicron trap effect is .. kinda useless (unless below lv 100 ... and still theyre not powerful). Pack of null fuse is suggested if you plan on killing one.

The Npcer: Mostly the second strongest ship build, the only thing that make them more weak then pvper is the fact they gain lv faster and even the npcing benifit won't help them till a couple of times taking it more slow (don't want to argue about it, 75% of the time its true) They generaly have a pack of traps but some enjoy pvping sometimes so they sometimes were halcyon and if you want to have more chance scoring a kill 5 debuff tactic may help you.

The Balanced ship: Mostly a bit of everything on their ship , they are balanced but nothing exiting in any stat . Generaly find pvp hard so they do npc, mission mostly and sometimes pvp (not saying balanced can't be strong same with npcer they can be...) Have every traps most of the time, I personaly don't botter hitting them as they are more likely to use the alert button at any moment ... even if you just bump them and set off a trap.

Its a bit late here now, I will continue on the next days and if you have any question/test to ask/propose don't be shy .. ... I won't hurt you

While im at it here is my how to get kills without null fuse : open 10 tab , one for every opponent on your battle tab hit each of them till the krionus set off, then wait 30 minutes and you should get at lest 4+ kill (some will have halcyon but at that point ... who care ?)

thats kinda pointless to just sit around for 30 min waiting for traps to wear off for MAYBE a few kills... best advice, get your arti production up and gain enough nulls that you dont care if you hit 1 or 50 traps... ive been running 70+ actions for the last two weeks, and have only dipped below 100 nulls in the last couple of days.. i started out with ~140 of them. yes its a bit slower gaining them at lower ranks, but have some patience, dont PvP for a bit an dlet them build up. soon enough youll have more then plenty.

yea thats why I do save my nulls till I have enough to get what I want and then I wait again, its really not that bad considering in the mean time you can run halcs so that people dont pester you as much.

From my experience (over 2500 kills, I know what I'm doing) if you run into a KV, that's end of story for 30 minutes. You simply can not have the arti production at lower levels (I'm in the mid 200's) to maintain the number of nulls you'd need to kill 50 people a day.

Strategies

Save your nulls. when you have enough go on a kill binge.

Use trap probes separately to nulls to maximise your kills- both artifacts can guarantee a kill- but if you use them together you reduce your definite kills

Like la grange says- if you are saving nulls try and pick players that are likely not trapped- for instance if a players actions are 2-4-5- fair guess someone killed and raided them in last twenty four hours- so did they repair? if they did did they remember to trap?- amazing how forgetful players can be. Did an ally repair them and hence no trap? hit them and find out. Also my favourite ship to hit when there are no good examples like above is the 3-5-5 action ship- cos if they are trapped I have a 50% chance of getting the halc- and then i can try another ship- and their is always a chance they have no trap or the trap does not trigger. If you hit a kv take a half hour rest and go and enjoy real life- then come back and try again

get out of the habit of buffing up crazy when you hunt ships- annoying to get cm'd by an online player- but if you only have on a 10% gun buff and a 20% defence buff- meh- no loss

I never use open windows to hold a ship on screen till later- always seems like dirty pool to me- if they are trapped let them go if you don't have a null

At god knows how many kills and 6th on leaderboard- i think i have a fair amount of experience

For gods sake shut up and take it if players hit you back- and if they use arties - so what- they didn't ask to be hit. arting you to kill you is a sign of respect

Fighting wars is different- none of the above applies- there are no rules when you are at war- but bt hitting should have a degree of respect in it- we all do it to one another- so treat others how you would hope to be treated

If u dont have nulls pick a fight and go to war. have 1 guy to run traps off all the alerts that why only 1 person has to wait. just find so legion around your rank range start zeroing them off the BT alert when they hit back and farm them! with a large group doing this few nulls will be needed many badges gotten .

If you can PvP, you can NPC. I find NPC'ing FAR easier than PvP'ing, hence why I prefer it. Also, you get special modules(handy for when I do PvP), artifacts, and more XP!
