| Post subject: | Three Days of Fighting Data-- Why You Should Hit Back |
With all the talk about multi hacking and raiding (which has always been around, but seems to have drawn more complaints with the medal system), I thought I would be super anal and run an experiment. I decided to pick a single target and track the numbers for a bit. Before I give you the tally, let me tell you my goals and my disclaimers. Goals 1. To encourage players to fight back. There is no reason to be afraid of anyone. There are lots of reasons to be smart and tactical about your play; but zero reasons to fear any ship. 2. To show you, step by step, more tricks of the trade. You don't have to love Pvp like me, but it is still good to have a better grasp of the strategies involved. 3. To remind you to have fun. It is a game. Disclaimers 1. This is not intended to flame or embarrass Krauzen or the Dysonians. It is just following the math of the experiment. 2. This is not intended to brag or prove how good I am. It is just following the math of the experiment. 3. This is not intended to be a complete picture between me vs Krauzen. It fails to take into account all the fighting over the last 2 years. It fails to take into account previous raids, hacks, disables, or planets stolen. This only as snap shot of the last few "days." It is just following the math the experiment. 4. This is not intended to be a complete picture of me vs other Dysonian ships. Several players, like XxBlitzxX, are well ahead of me on ALL the numbers count. This data fails to show that info. It is just following the math the experiment. 5. This is not intended to be a complete picture of all my actions either. I still regularly shoot random ships from the battle tab and hunt all CN ships since we are at war. I spend my energy and TMs in a number of ways. It is just following the math of the experiment. 6. This is not intended to reflect consecutive days. Let me stress that point again. I am making no claim that these "days" were directly back to back. Sometimes there was a day or two between my attack and Krauzen's response and vise versa (but they are all within the same week). Krauzen was selected for the subject of the experiment for one reason; we are both on the kill’s board. We can't escape each other. We can't wait 2 days and fall off the enemy log. Likewise, we can't halc up and hide forever; perhaps as a temporary tactical manuver, but not forever. If an action is made by one, a reply is certain by the other. Whether sooner or later, it is inevitable. This is what I mean by "days." Good use of the 25 TMs back to back as the new consecutive day rolls over. Since it is easy to copy and paste Krauzen actions (because they are in my log), I posted them completely. However, my actions back toward him only show up in his log. Therefore, to keep track of how much I did to him, I could either copy each individual hack, raid (which was too anal even for me). Or, I could empty my resources and see where I stood at the end of my attack run (plus this allowed the game to do the math for me). I used 50 TM's. Here is the summary of my reply. 13,752 research- this includes one failed critical hack clear resources 19,515 research clear resources 25,847 research clear resources Raid Successful. You steal 800 Artifact Poinsts from the enemy! Raid Successful. You steal 767 Artifact Points from the enemy! Raid Successful. You steal 1561 Artifact Points from the enemy! I stole a total of 59,114 research in reply. I stole a total of 3,128 artifacts in reply. [size=150]++END RESULT OF FIGHTING DAY 1 I got all of my research back. I am ahead by 2,705 research. Likewise, I am ahead by 2,561 artifacts. I am ahead by 3,913 research (ahead 6,618 research overall). There was no change in the artifact count. (ahead 2,561 artifacts overall) . I am behind by 635 minerals (behind 1965 minerasl overall). I was up when he started his attack run; thus he got the disable. He was down when I started my reply. This makes the kill count a draw 1-1. |

My conclusion after just a few days (though he and I have been doing this for years) has two parts. First, hit back. If you plan your attack right, you can recover what you lost. Making it a draw. Second, we have juiced each other's stats. bhahaha. Since there was no real loss of resources, all we have effectively done is padded the ship counts. |

Oh we have done that to each other a bunch of times. I think I have found more overall, but he is the only one with a successful invasion. It was just a large rich (undefended and probably even uncloaked), but still, I give him the edge in the planet count. 1-0 Kz. |
