I punched through half of Taltherian chain today with no energy refills or energy cubes etc
I started at recovering stasis cells all the way until i reached half through the research data archive mission.
Apart from that i have a terrible ship build only 550 decks with 2712 engineers.
My production isn't really good either :
4899 Mining
778 Artifact
2149 Research

I have given away all the megarich planets i have scanned (about 20-30 planets with megarich resource as well as a 11x, 6x and 15x), so if i had colonised the instead i'd probably have alot higher production.

i been playing for about 4 months

why would you give away production planets that you so sorely need????
I had better production numbers (about 1/2 mining) then you at rank 100... if you had a high arti production, you could stand a chance of catching up if you froze rank after unlocking talth.

better to get picked on for awhile and bust your way through to taltherian with such bad AP production then to remain in the shallow end of the galactic sea for all eternity

I think he has the right idea.

In hindsight, if I started with the knowledge I have now, I'd have slow ranked enough to get dominions, proteans, and a nice stash of badges for the inevitable kick in the teeth, and then I'd have power ranked, hard. Like him. (Little known fact: some long-time freeze rankers can autorank - it's a side-challenge that I have for my freeze). Get high, get production, THEN FREEZE. Become Mento, win.

As everyone else said, improve artifacts. As far as decks go, stay under 2k. I bet in another 4 months, you will have easily turned your ship around and be a decent fighter.

Silly to rank that way.
Until you max out your ship with all researched ship installations DON'T AUTORANK.
Rank slowly!
Split your points between energy & attack.
The only reason I see to effectively auto rank at you rank level is to grab another planet which I did once after a great scan run.

Hey all, i've managed to autorank once again, i know some agree that autoranking is dangerous but i dont know, i think it's fun.
I'm almost Taltherian now, funny how i just started the chain a few days ago. 3006 engineers and 618 decks atm.

I had used 2 RSLs to help me, since im human i total of 1.35x xp gain. Too bad the Talth missiom "New Generations" doesn't give enough xp for me to continue autoranking with the bonuses. I had obtained RSLs using stryll contact coordinates, took me quite to disable them, about a dozen repairs even thought they had -60% defence. i gotta deal with these annoying taltherian sentries now.. and that allovore and that voliir enforcer

keep going no point in turning back now. And if you have ctp people will sell you RSL implant shares.
