| Post subject: | Has Rescued Prisoners drop rate plummeted recently? |
This past weekend, the prisoner count from artis almost dried up and so far the survey of data that I've seen is that people are generally getting a lot fewer right now. Anyone else see this change starting this past Friday? |

It. Is. Random. I absolutely love how people come to the forums and question that every time they get a couple days with low results for Xxxx artifact. I also love how many other people comment on those threads saying "yeah, it got dropped." |

Although it is random, the statistical probability would be multiple deviations from average. I'll continue to monitor it the next few days and ask my legion mates about their drop rates (who have also dropped in rate). |

You can monitor it all you like. If you feel you need to waste your time, fine. The drop rate of Rescued Prisoners or any other drawable artifact has not been "changed" since the addition of the Null Fuse. The chance of drawing any particular artifact on one click is 1 in X, where X equals the number of distinct artifacts costing less points than you have at the time of the given click. So, if you click at over 20k AP, you have a 1 in 60 chance of getting any one specific artifact. Always. |

u understand that 3 SD away is 0.3%, right? the chance of that happening over the period of 100 days(100 repeition) is 26% the chance of it happening to SOMEONE in the game assuming 1000 players is 95% the chance of it happening to SOMEONE in the game assuming 1000 players over 100 days is 99.99999(129 9s total here).68% multiple SD away doesnt mean shist when there is a large population and long period of time involved... unless you are 10 SD away, it doesnt matter in the least bit |

while i have also gotten significantly less of them over the past 2 weeks, Dan isnt about to changing game code just to lower the drop rate of 1 arti. |

in the last two days i saved 10... seems right to me. i was going to wait a week to see what i get in the run of a week, but i hate seeing energy sitting in my cargo area... |

It did appear to me that I would have days of artifacts drops that either lacked or seemed extra. Back when my production was only about 4000/hr I kept a spreadsheet for over a month and distribution was random. @13,000+ I am not about to take the time to keep a spreadsheet. I've drawn up to 6RP upon logging in morning and as little as 0RP with approximately 160,000RP. |

No one believes me, but over the span of time when I grew from 40K AP/hr to 65K AP/hr, my average number of Rescued Prisoners per day (~11) hasn't increased. I gave up on complaining or asking about it; everyone on the Forum loses their damn mind when I try to say something about it. |
