Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to (as said in the title) to protect a planet from a saboteur's abilities, besides regular installation of defenses that cannot be sabbed and the possible usage of a planet flux. Just curious I have not had the pleasure of having my planets sabbed.

Nope I don't think except for a Xecti Tower thing, but I'm not sure what it's called and if it stops abilities being used or just invasions.

Xectiphage towers.
It says nothing of them stopping sabs in the wiki though.

Should be something to counter them besides flux probing your best planets everyday and fluxing them, because if you defend a planet well I think you should have the luxury of keeping it.... legions with tons of saboteurs can just take whatever they want which is kinda scary.

One way is to put a lot of pop on the planet, it has to be under a hundred to sab.

ROFL o yes it is scary and we love it  anyhow the 2 ways are to have your planet under the effects of a planet vortex and -XRP Warp Inhibitor: planet structure size 2 +800 defense also acts like a Planet Vortex Deflector once placed no artifacts can be used on the planet can only be placed if not attacked in the last 7 days this is the only way but when u use these once population is down u cant bring it up or place any buffs or traps so kind of risky 8-)

Yup, those ward are utterly awesome, 750 base pop for one space? That's incredible.

well thats a way to slow us but not to stop us ;) if sabs have the support of heavy hitters the pop will go down reguardless of what it is and then its all sabs ahoy

Now I just wish to be high ranked so I have an energy reserve for those temporal flux missions if the pop + defense method does not work lol

There is one other way. The Trellith Structural Energizer (Gives structure 50% stat bonus + immunity from destruction by enemy), though I would not suggest the use of it on defenses, better to be used on maxed out artifact production structures.

The simplest way is to not use researched defense buildings. Same with attack buildings. I've got a planet that has the following stats without using ANY buildings that can be sabbed.

Defenses: 14947 0 88% 28100
Attack: 6016 0 88% 11310
Cloak: 8063 0 88% 15158

Once I've pimped out the planet to its max, then I'll throw down an XRP warp inhibitor on it, but for now it's hard to find. Hard to take out with 4k pop and those attack/defense stats. And it makes me a mint.

How come?
High pop,
XRP Warp Inhibitor,
Vortex Deflector,
All special defense mods.

I didn't see anything else.

Maybe you didn't ignore them then, but people certainly kept on coming up with suggestions which are either hard to do or ineffective.

2100 passive defense from fab plants
barrier nexus x2
dark pylon shifter
interrogation stronghold
domain walker x2
affection disseminator 2.0 x2
sha'din hypergrid network
dark anti beacon
captured crimson base
modified grid pylon
auric lepus drone 2.0 x2
drannik databank

resonance inhibitor x2 (not shown in the above numbers because it's invasion defense)

As for attack see some of the above that provide attack plus 2 lazuli darkmines.

Pop was accomplished with a permafrost, astrobiology ward, symbiont test lab and some of the above.

as far as i know (admittedly limited experience lol) but the XRP Warp Inhibitor is the best way.
but a word of caution, before installing activate a build extractor on the planet, so you can remove it (for future upgrades) if required I didnt and now ill have to demolish if i wish to upgrade it
