how am i doing and what should i do to improve?:

Lose the scan mods, and gt more guns on. Try to get your hull and defence on. Lose Sillix as soon as possible, and PvP while it's still relatively easy.

I also recommend bumping up your weapons research, you need to be up to heavy sings by 85 to stay effective at PvP

oh ok thanks! i dont pvp that much. i just disable the people that disable me.
i need that scan to get rare npcs, which i get like 3~4 times a week

Better weapons= Quicker NPC kills too lol

You should PVP now while it's relatively easy - get enough red badges for the Dominion Cannon Mk IIIs (512 badges), and enough yellows for all three Protean Armories (240 badges). It will benefit you in NPC/Base battles and planet invasions down the road even if you don't ever PVP again.

is there anyway to raise the research cap? i have like 800 research per hour but the cap only allows me to have 11700 max research

When you colonize or invade a planet, your mining cap increases by 500, artifact increases by 1000.

Research capacity only increases by 150 per rank.

You can't check in to spend your research at least once every 14 hours?

well my legion shipment will be wasted and that's another 11k research points... i might get those storage :o

Legion shipments and daily rewards can go over your material caps.
