Missions requiring Exotic Matter

 What missions are most worthwhile when it comes to using your exotic matter? I know a lot of people use it rather heavily but beyond stellar cartography nothing seems worth it yet.

I forgot what starts it but theres a mission thats a chain that after doing all the missions you can build an exotic lab. 1 space 1 research limit 1 5000 exotic matter.
