Well, a guy in my legion is rank 223, and has hull finished. So do that.
And that's a lot of defense

i was sidetracked from doing hull because i'm the primary base tech researcher for my legion

and my def is high because many ppl forget that you can have 4 thrusters and 4 dampeners

This is mine by comparison, been playing for 9 months at the moment;

Your Research and Mining per hour are higher than mine, and your research completed is alot higher than mine. I've got you beat on artifact's though.

My attack is Amp'd(15%). Hull and shields are unbuffed. Only have 4 Thrusters installed(Trans-Temporal Nacelle - Mark III x 4), no Dampeners as no space for them.

I stopped using rank points for decks at around rank 280.

i constantly adjust how i spend my points....currently i'm doing 1 deck , 1 tactical, 3 engineers

when i get closer to the max needed decks , i will probably switch to 2 tacticals and 3 engineers

rescued prisoners = 1 each in deck, tact, eng

daily reward = both engineers

well speaking for us lowly humble under rank 200's i have 300 engineers, and thats where most of my prionsers go is into crew.

theres nothing like telling someone you just liberated "hey your working for me or your gonna be part of my ship", I knew i should have named myself davy jones

The defense buff is my Velox Thruster's.

My suggestions to detregets:

• Stop using rank points for decks.
• Get those last hulls.
• More tactical officers.
• More artifacts.
• More attack in general

What about me?

Current plans are:

• More artifacts
• Get 118 ship-bots to max my defense modules, adding 2280 def + whatever velox bonus.
• Get 4 Composite Rays
• Upgrade 2 Dominions to mark III
• Start getting engineers
• Research Universal Maintenance

Anyone thinks that's wrong?

I have been taking things somewhat slow for about 150 ranks, I didn't use rank points for decks either and don't plan on doing so anymore. I have no researched shield mod installed.

In case someone notices, yes, I modified my attack and shields because they were buffed at the time, values are the real unbuffed values. Defense is buffed by velox's thrusters.

My ranking has slowed down in the last month and there was 2 month that I couldn't get on at all , but I'm still close to 1 rank a day. Slow ranking would be the ships that have played as long and are still in the 200-300 range.

where did all that hull come from?

All hull modules installed will only give you 10,777 hull

Hull probably buffed too.
Nice ship in general dude, but someone else mentioned your extreme need for more attack. 8k buffed on a rank 740 is not really that strong. Sorry
For sure you should quit putting rank points into decks. Get decks only from ship bots from here on out.

The only buffs I had on where perma buffs
2 Kalvium Fortified Plating , +5% hull each.
3 Aegis Capacitor , +5% shield each.
3 Velox Thruster , +5% defense each.

just ran the numbers myself.. all current hull modules installed give you 11370 hull before kalvium bonuses... *1.05 * 1.05 = 12535.425 after kalvium bonuses

well you're not a fixer or lazuli (you're currently a kronyn explorer according to the screenshot) so you must've had at least 11K worth of durtanium brackets there...

unless you had a nanite swarm or crimson forcelock on that you forgot about

I get 5+ durtanium brackets a day and I did buy 50 when I was low level.
