its easy, the power of slow ranking. ive seen rank 30s with nexus plating, sing launchers, and microwarps....

get your production up, and equip more hulls.

And I only take super good planets, very picky about large-massive:rich-#X rich

Yeah, slow ranking really isn't very tough to do. It just takes a bit of time.

Only think I can say is that your productions do look a little low, try getting to at least +4s if you don't have them already.

Maybe invest a bit in shields for planetary defenses.

nice. likes been said, go for planetary shields. also install more hulls, maybe start researching energy, will need it eventually..maybe scanning, only for scan runs.

You absolutely need more scanners.

Also, as a slow ranker (I used to be about as slow as you - ask Howesy), get some ranks.

I still like to slow rank a bit, but you get bogged down if you go too slowly. It's really amazing how much extra a few decks can do, and the additional production from more planets help a ton. The higher the rank you start slow ranking at, the faster your ship will get better.

yeah, one of the best results of slow ranking out there. has very good experience as a slow ranker. i have some, not much...

I'm finishing the current levels of shields and hulls then starting energy

Another thing I just realized: get those protean armories, or at least start working on them.

They're always useful, but especially in the low ranks they can give a great boost to your hull.

Keep going on them. If you focus on raiding those who are already disabled, you can have them at very low ranks.

All crew contribute towards a successful raid, it's based on your crew v. the enemy crew.

That said, I've failed about half a dozen raids and have ONLY lost tactical officers, and I knew someone who claimed they went negative in tactical officers after failing a raid with 0 left. So while all crew participate, I guess the enemy ships target the officers when they shoot the raiders.

So 80 + 31 + 21 + 14 ( my crew ) VS another ship( weak/passive)
But I always fail..
