Modules Space...what to put

 I was wondering what am i suppose to put for the space it has....i am not talking about the special space for resources....but the other 20 empty space of my lvl 2 base

but how to build those?....the build part only have structures for resource...

you need to research modules in those areas on your tech tree to unlock modules for the base. so if you want base hull, research ship hull.
