i feel u really should get obviator shield
ur mine might offer the same amount of invasion defence, but i feel shield is a bit more important while fighting the population wars

dude, you should finish an entire tier before starting a new one but you should finish supernova generation, then finish trans temporal travel. then I would suggest getting obivitaion shields and then finish stellar engineering.

I would help, but then that makes it not as easy to take your planets. That does not work for me.

Planetary attack and defense unlock on round one of a new weapon or shield tech. At least for scanners, you get the biggest bump in scan/space by jumping from 3/3 of the previous tech to 1/3 of the next tier. I'm assuming that this is generally true across the whole tech tree as well. Mining structures unlock on the first step of planetary structure tech, so if your mining is low, you can bump it without neglecting some other branch of research entirely. Base contributions are locked until you complete the first step of the required base tech. All in all, I can see good reasons to jump around the tree for specific needs as long as individual steps of tech are being fully completed. Please let me know if I'm missing some disadvantages here.

The way that seems best for saving creds and minerals is to research to the 3rd or 4th tier, then put the modules on. That way you don't waste creds on the 1st and 2nd tiers.

This is true at the higher levels, though I think the principle is the same whether you jump from the first to first or last to last, e.g. jumping from light nulls to light thetas or jumping from heavy nulls to heavy thetas, only paying out once per tech rather than at each step in each will save credits and minerals.

It really bugs me when people don't finish researching the whole tier. I don't know why, it just does
Order in which you should research: 1. Shields 2. Planetary Construction(1 and 2 can be switched up) 3. Defense 4. Energy 4. Stealth(get this high up, you're lacking in this) 5. Scanners or Hull(vice versa) 6. Do Attack last because, chances are, you will not need them until you have enough mining to support upkeepp

OCD = Obsessive Compuslive Disorder I do not think about it 24/7 and I'm not doing things to change it, therefore, it is not OCD. I fail to understand why some people research 1/8 of their tier and then spontaneously switch to a different one

I fail to understand why some people research 1/8 of their tier and then spontaneously switch to a different one my personal reason is when i get to the end of a tier that it took me a decent amount of time to get to i always decide to just push it into a tier it takes a while to research just so i get better tech bu then i go to something else cause it would take me forever to finish that tier
