Played 352 days, rank 262. Not exactly slow ranking I guess...
But I agree that slow rank is useless with small artifact. If I were to reset, I would go for 3-4k arti by rank 100, little to none of the other two. Research + mining is just an inefficient way to do things, I have more attack with antiprotons than a lot do with heavy thetacrons at my rank.

I have to agree with Demon. I run a research light (though mining heavy) build. If you slow rank, you have much longer to research tech and it isn't your tech that should be ahead. It's your crew and decks (assuming not SSB).
