would be nice if u pros come together and make a benchmark thread for each type of build like by xxx rank, this would be the suggested techs for a regular build and by xxx rank, this would be the suggested techs for a NPC build etc then by yyy rank, the regular build techs etc
can go by 20s up to 100, then 25 up to 200, then 50s up to 500(by which point ppl really outa know)
sometimes it's kinda hard to dig up the right thread....

i think the best benchmark i've seen is one that calculates how many rank point equivalents you've collected per level
you start with 20 decks, 50 cargo, 80 engineers, 5 tactical officers, 5 helmsmen, and 10 scientists you get 1 deck per point, 5 cargo per point, 2 engineers per point, 2 tactical officers per point, 2 helmsmen per point, and 3 scientists per point
take current values, subtract by starting values, then divide by per point values.... then sum all those together and divide by your level
i'm at 18.8 rank point equivalents per level... (this is a cumulative value from all sources: prisoners, bots, droids, tesseracts, pods, lazuli vaults, other items that give crew and such... also includes the 5 from levelling)

Yeah, that does give you a good feel for your ship as an "all around" figure. It counters specialization (engineers for mission players, TO/Helmsmen for PvP/NPC, etc). BTW, 18.49 here. Our difference I attribute to your slight edge on ApH.

Cargo may be helpful , but it shouldn't be counted in any "How good your doing math".

23.22 with cargo. 14.13 without cargo..and I'm rank 172 so it's nothing to do with how high one's rank is. This is similar to the BSI (Battle Stat Index) system in Castle Age, total strength divided by total level. I even adopted that system and introduced it to Starfleet Commander players. Anyway, we must now ascertain the standard errr...RPA (Rank Point Acquisition)? So we at least know that nobody can go below 5. What could be considered good? 10? 20? What would be advisable? 15?

If we remove cargo , a newbe can get under 5 if they put points into cargo. Most lower rank don't have very much artifacts/hour or the pulls so. Rank 1-75, 6 average , 8 good and 10 great. Rank 76-150 , 8 average , 11 good , 14 great. Past rank 150 , 10 average , 15 good and 20 great. ^this may need some work. without cargo I got a 20.7 EDIT: Thinking about it where leaving out hull and shields , but that may be hard to do as only gains from Durtanium Brackets and XCharge Cells should be counted for this as other mods aren't.

10.01 including cargo 8.2 without cargo
Rank 130
Rank does have a massive bearing on it, but is not the be-all and end-all.
Realistically, to draw up any kind of bench marks we'd need more data...

got 17.8 over here including cargo. didnt bother to calc without it because cargo is still a permabuff that uses an equivalent to rank points.
