when I was doing it was like F*&K YEA !!! MORE MODULES, I was comparing the space used by the modules against the space required to get the same effect off of researched suff.
ex:
Octofari Deflector : size 12, defense 25 shield 40.
to achieve the same thing in research tech would be 1 hull polerizer -> 15 spaces 39 shield + 1 motion compensator -> size 18 defense 24. So in regards the tech isnt BAD, it just isnt as efficient as you climb in levels, compared to what else you get.
in other regards to efficiency however:
top tier defense mod gives 8.04 def / space
top tier shield mod gives 10.75 shield / space
Octofari Deflector gives 2.08 def + 3.33r sheild / space -> total of 5.41 attributes / space, so they arnt BAD but they arnt AMAZING either.
