So I've finally saved up enough for my latest scanning spree - Hyperflux III sensors, and will be beginning that as soon as I can afford the rest of the CTP for the additional scanning modules. (Want to squeeze out every last bit of scanning before I do this.)

Because of the expense involved however, and because I plan to Glaviz my class/profession afterwards (I'm currently a Sillix Explorer), I was thinking of turtling/hacking for a week. Load up on all the scan/cloak/defense/hull modules I can so I can safely hack away and get some blue badges.

Anyone see any potential downfall with this?
But at rank ~215, with ~1500 decks, I can get about 4k defense, 5k hull, and very high scanning/cloak. Figure as long as I'm careful and don't touch the Top 10 I should be safe.

most people won't care if you only hack them once, my advice is to look for player that have the lowest combat rep (normally a player that's been killed 100 time but only has 6 kills himself won't even bother alerting you) then just go up from there.....this works the best when you're only doing a little bit of badge hunting at a time, if you're planning on getting you're 50ish badges a day, you're going to get hit back no matter what you do

I suggest making a list of people you have hacked so you don't accidentally double hack them. You want them to be at least 12 hours apart to get badges. You may want to put them 48 hours apart so you don't show up on their news feed twice. My thought on that is they may think your name is familiar on a 2nd hack, but may not remember if it was you that hacked them the first time and won't have a ship log to verify it.
