Putting level points in resources-What do you think is a better idea and why? You see to me i see it as research is what you would want to invest in if you wanted to rank up faster and be advanced, mining you would want to invest for future ship uses and buildings for they get incredibly expensive as for artifacts would be if you are slow ranking or want your ship to be strong.
So the question remains which 3? Why not do two? Or why not two? It all comes down to personal preference and current status, and what you want for future game wantings.

My choice would be focusing either a 2 to 1 system or and full all out 1 system. The 2-1 for me would be every two artifacts invested into then id put one into research. As for the just doing one id pick the artifacts once again.

What do you do? Why?

All artifacts, put some in research if you have extra space but no availability points into research. Artifacts no matter what rank you are is always helpful/useful, research however isnt that great when you already have fast ranked and you dont have anything useful to research other then the research requirement for the next base level.

Yes, this is exactly what we've done for our Base. Artifacts are always very useful, that's why the ability that increases requires a GP item.

EDIT: Also, artifacts have the highest cap for the most part, so they're more likely to get the benefit from it.

personally i think it is best to only do one, because the higher productino modules you get, the more space they take up. after seeing the unknowns base, i realize its much more beneficial to only invest in one resource, than in multiple in order to get the maximum return on production.

I dont really think mining is a good focus for the middle ranks 50-250. To rely on your base for cash payouts is showing youre not putting a solid ratio of planets in place for yourself. You really should be focusing enough mining to pay the bills with enough to play with, then move onto other resources.

Artis or research is the better choices, and there's no wrong answer. If your legion is into the toys, go for artis, getting a few thousand a day will eventually be a great boost ... if you like to have a kicker of research for all the guys, thats great too, nothing wrong with a bit of free tier tech levelling.

And i agree, spreading resources across multiple choices only decimates the whole, better to focus on one area and any room space, yeah have a bit of side bonus, i actually paid the 25GP to re-organise the points to this effect and saw a solid improvement straight away, remember, that spare production point or two may be lying around, but when the base levels up, you may of had a whole number to invest somewhere had you kept em
