So I've been trying out Taltherian lately, and I'm considering switching back to Inergon. This is my analysis:

Taltherian:
- Adds at most averages to about 10 AP/hr each day (sustainable), assuming you are working with very massive planets (even a gas planet will work, and this is common enough). This will slowly increase what you already have, but it takes a VERY long time. It doesn't scale with your rank.
- This means ~300/month AP boost.
- You effectively lose tactical algorithm (but I expect this will be changed in the future, so I'm not really considering it long term to be really negative for this race).

Inergon:
- 7600 max energy means I get about 1 extra purger per rank (+760 presently). I basically will rank twice a day (even without RSL), so this is about 60 *extra* purgers a month. I always have more planet slots than I can afford, but I can colonize about 2 planets/day if I found good AP planets.
- About 50 planets of about 500 total scanned were "good" artifact worlds, meaning I can get 100+ AP/hr out of them.
- By those numbers, the extra purgers yield something like 5 extra good AP worlds, totaling somewhere around 500 AP/hr. Compare to a static 300 AP/hr by boosting planets with Taltherian over a month. Also, this will scale with rank and rescued prisoners (which will also increase as AP increases).

Bottom line: If you are high engineer build, Inergon can actually produce more AP growth (also XP growth) over time than Taltherian. Both have builder, which is essential if you have high tech (billions of credits/day potentially 4-5B with current techs I think). If you are a deck heavy build or don't want to run purger missions, and have plenty of large AP planets, then Taltherian is the better option.

thanks for this analysis. im currently inergon and considering taltherian as an option. after the stats you gave, inergon may well be a better choice after i gain several thousand engineers, but for the time i think taltherian is a better bet. thnx!

I got "caught up" when I became Inergon again, 38 ranks and 200 purgers, and pretty much all missions done. ~9050 energy max. I'm about 450 XP from ranking when using only neural and not also RSL implant, doing purger mission. NPC are getting a bit hard though for my build until decks catch up. Worst case, drannik sabs level the playing field. Found 2 exotic planets out of 130 purgers I already ran. Hit 1000 decks finally (half from bots) so it's good times.

nice. right now im trying to install some extra modules, but as soon as i get my 4 cloaks and 8 defenses caught up to my max, im going back to the all engineers strategy.
