I run into this problem frequently: I have so much energy before rank-up! Normally, I scan for new planets because most scans yield nothing, so that's how I burn energy in order to waste as little as possible before I rank up.

But now, I scanned so many planets that I can't scan anymore ("Scan Now" grayed out.) I don't have anymore star chart purgers.

I want to find other, productive ways to use up my energy before my next rank-up so I can get down to my final 400 and put that towards the Klorvis Aftermath and rank up without much energy waste.

So what are all the other low-XP or no-XP methods you'd recommend, to productively burn energy until then? (I can't dump into the base for its upgrades until I have Hyper Logistics. I am 28129770 RPs away from its first tier.)

Right now, I have 2959 / 3670 energy remaining, with 6520729 XP, with 6520820 needed for rank-up, so I only have 91 XP left. Thanks. - Asheron

Make crap in the ct lab.

If you can't donate to the base you are losing the easiest way to dump energy so its not gonna be easy to keep productively spending excess energy.

CT Lab and dumping into the base are generally the only good ways.

No exp:
Using certain artifacts, such as planet purger, tempo flux(do a little probe run to find the one that need fluxing), or maybe even buff up! You can even put up deflectors on some planet just because you can. You can also buff up if you think you might need it sometimes soon.
Don't forget your racial ability(or trellith ability)
Hack/raid
CT lab
some legion missions

Low exp:
some legion missions
base donation
purger mission(personally I'd rather donate to legion but meh~)

Those are about it off the top of my head.

make the Xts-9 mission give Zero exp?

but I uses, atk bases, raiding hacking, lab , and dumping nrg in to the base. The purger mission works well to so dose some of the legion missions.
