I hate to break it to you, Tikitoo, but
Annabell wrote:
Case in point, the way we all fear the mighty 7 legions of the Navarone empire.

was sarcasm.

No offense Flux, but I think you may have missed the point a little bit.

To me, it seems very clear that Annabell was using Navarone as an example of an empire of legions where strength was diluted by spreading numbers around a number of sister legions.
This observation is in direct response to the OP regarding whether or not such sister legions were helpful, or not.

The "why" of Navarone's motives, plans and actual number of legions is largely irrelevant to what she is saying.
In fact, what you responded tends to support what she said, rather than refute it.
A large number of weaker sister legions, for whatever reasons they are created, does not directly result in a stronger main legion.

With all due respect to your goals and hard work, the fact that Annabell does not regard the Navarone Empire as powerful is an opinion she is entirely entitled to.
It is in no way misleading... she just used Navarone as an example of a large empire that she doesn't regard as powerful, despite the size.

The fact she has absolutely no fear of expressing that opinion only reinforces the point she is making.

Happy flying :)

I hate to sound mean, but I just looked at the age of each of the Navarone legions and the youngest is 10 months 3 weeks... I realize that you bought failing legions bases to form a new Navarone legion or whatever, so the age is a bit misleading. However, I (at rank 447) only view 1 of any Navarone members to be any sort of a threat.

Annabell clearly does not regard Navarone as a powerful empire.
Everything else is irrelevant. 6 or 7 or 24 legions does not change the reason she used Navarone as an example.

Please show her the same respect you ask for.
No-one is judging anything - it is a statement of her opinion.
Asking to see how you are in a year only supports what she is saying: that the number of sister legions alone do not make an empire powerful.

Best of luck with building your empire, but it would be nice if the thread does not get derailed further.

Actually, Deigo, the talk is kind of on-topic.

Navarone and TIS largely work off of the same principals. We take younger players, and we train them up. Difference being, that whilst Navarone chooses the expand outwards, we're trying to determine how best to expand upwards. A sister legion was considered, and many people seemed to like the idea, but it is one that I do not like, thus the thread - to determine whether sister legions are in fact beneficial to the growth of the main legion.

Yep yep yep. I agree with Deigo in you aren't scary at the moment, but if you can keep improving over the next year and gain some notoriety, that would be awesome. Best of luck to ya cap'n.

Yeah, good point TB, it does relate to the question.

I'd also like to point out for the record that Annabell's opinions of Navarone's scariness, are nothing to do with me :)

And Flux, best of luck with everything, I hope the journey is rewarding and lots of fun along the way.

Dixie has pretty much a on point opinion, time and time again Empire legions have claimed to be powerful or mighty only to have been proven to be flaccid in just about every aspect. It doesnt matter your age of your Empire, EOTS is isnt even a year old but is the second strongest legion in the game, age means nothing what your empire is at this moment is and it is imo like dixies not a threat nor will be one in the possible future. all thats left is for you to prove me wrong
