Over the holidays I didn't play every day, but my ship still needed upkeep. 435million every day. My ship was so damaged, that most of my weapons, defenses, energy, ect are damaged and offline. So I really tried to find some new mining planets and up my production. But I don't seem to be making any headway.

Should I just uninstall everything to bring down my maintenance for a few weeks and really build up my cash and then rebuild? Or.....

Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

1. Become builder; long term if you want tech, that will pay for itself. Increasing mining and rank will yield more over time, but tech cost is exponential.

2. Downgrade a bit, 1-2 levels is normally a 2x increase in cost, so it will really make an impact on upkeep but only a marginal decrease in efficiency and total power. You should estimate your daily income and build accordingly.

3. Colonize mining planets more, but this won't keep up with your costs it seems, and you might not have many good ones on grid.

If your upkeep is that high you have to be very advanced in the game and have not only good mineral production, but also enough ranks to pull 100's of millions per day. Sell everything that is broken (starting with weapons), build your cash over the next few days to a week then rebuy.

If your gonna try to find new mining planets sell off everything you can then put in energy and scanners only and find some good planets. Then just go energy and raise your level some.
