Well I'v finally gotten to rank 350 (: (Which is where I told myself I was ganna stop putting rank pts into decks) and now I'm wondering which I should put my Rank pts into from now on? Tact officers or Engineers? Up until now I'v been putting all rank pts (ranks, prisoners, and daily rewarded pts) into decks, and am at roughly 2,400 some odd base decks (I'm sillixx currently so im using 2,600+ some odd decks) I would be much higher but my Artifact pts have been put on the back burner of my plans since about 100 lvls ago. Also in my much earlier galaxy roaming days I didn't make good choices so my early very easy rank pts didn't go to where they should have. .-. yes I did put some into cargo, scientists, and helmsmen .-. I wasn't too proud when I learned how things work in the higher lvls, Oh well, live and learn (: I do lvl on average once a day, which is ok with me so I dont wanna be focused so intensly into engineers, but also I am noticing a slow down in the ranking and dont wanna fall behind my average :/ I also feel strong enough to handle fellow space peeps in my range, also my high combat rating (insane) does help to keep alot of pesky raiders away (: However; I dont wanna fall behind in strength so I'd like to be getting Tact officers, but also I dont wanna lose out on proper energy per rank ratio ):
So long story short: Which should I put my rank pts into? Tact officers? Engineers? Some combo of both? I'd really like to hear from peeps who have gotten to this point and seen how things work out (: Thanx

I don't know if it help but being a PVP focused player I like attack and energy (to kill a lot of player in one spree) so I do 3 TO and 2 engineers for rank up . 2 TO and 1 engineers for Rescued prisoner .

I like high attack and high energy so i've gone one for one TO and engineer and that has served me well so far (:

Thanks LittleFl. I made that post a long time ago for my own help, and for it to be used as a referance, There is a lot of well known and respected players input in there.

since i picked up a strategy of hi energy ship i was pushing all rankpoints in energy, i also do a bout a rank a day if i dont NPC than i autorank (almost, depending on how lucky i am on assassins and hawks) so i am happy with my energy bar, to maintain this i am putting about 6 rankpoints per rank to engineers, and rest gose in TO's but thats my strategy... probably i will see lots of "wrong" "dont do" and stuff but i do tend to get 4-5 prisoners per day... so its kinda pays off for me

On a ranking efficiency basis, energy is always better than tac except in extreme cases.

Engineers for a while. Eventually switch to an engr/tac mix.

I would say if you can autorank with 50 scan on pretty solid (assassins and all), then adding TO is possible and beneficial.

(i might be wrong)
