http://galaxylegion.com/wiki/index.php/Missions , the race chains are broken out , I think we need to get that done for all of them (in order by rank of first mission in the chain), add some of the new ones if they are not already (like found missions and the pre-reqs, smuggler+sithion), and add anything missing to the list near the top as well (the alphabetical list). Then maybe sort or organize them in a logical way.

I'm not sure of the intentions of the original author of the missions page; however I do agree that it's confusing to have mission chains where the previous mission is not included in the "requirements" section - for instance if you decide to sort the table in order of ascending energy requirement, you find a lot of "easy" missions which turn out to be impossible as they are hidden behind a chain with much higher energy requirements. N.B. While I once laboured under the belief that quick completion was a good reason to select a mission, I am no longer so daft as to ascribe undue importance to the tier items, therefore I won't thank anyone for pointing out my idiocy.

Nah I'd rather discuss it here. So first of all someone who has all missions done and only repeatable missions left, count your completions then count the # of items in the Alphabetical list (minus the repeatables) -- if they don't match we're missing some missions.
Second, I was thinking break all missions that are chains into the format being used for the race chains, it sections it nicely. Then a section for one-off missions. Then, sort these by rank of first mission I guess ?

You thought of it, you have the capability for it, you do it. *hands over wiki pen* once you're done with what you can, then hand it over to those who have done what you haven't

Second, I was thinking break all missions that are chains into the format being used for the race chains, it sections it nicely. Then a section for one-off missions. Then, sort these by rank of first mission I guess ? Sorry to necro this thread, and as I've said before the proper place is the discussion page on the wiki, but that appears to be dead atm. I've been thinking a lot more about this and I have some proposals. I will address them by page section: 1,2 and 3. Requirements, Rewards, Ending: This is introductory information and I don't propose to change it. It's reasonably clear and not too wordy. I might proof-read it for obvious errors, but other than that, no change. 4. Mission list: The whole page at the moment is too long, and this section appears especially redundant. I would like to delete everything from that section except for seasonal missions and new fortnightly missions that have not been entered into the main "completed missions summary" table. Any wiki editor will be able to place "new" missions on there and they can be picked up by people who have completed them. Once an entry finds its way to section 5, it can be deleted from this list. If anyone is going to be really upset by the loss of (most of) this section, I will consider making a new page with just this on it (I won't do it if no-one speaks up, so here's your chance). 5. Completed mission summaries: I consider this the heart of the page, and by far the most useful section. I don't think the chains should be removed from here. Several missions are missing from this at the moment - the Mylarai and Xecti chains, and some of the more recent Trellith missions. I don't mind getting out my wiki pen to enter them, in fact I am currently doing just that (may need some assistance with the Trellith). Also, I don't think seasonal missions belong here. 6. Mission Chains: This is likely to be the most controversial proposal. I think the Mission Chains should be removed from the bottom of the "Missions" page and given a page of their own, with "Race Unlocking" chains at the top, and other chains of 3 or more below, in order of the rank which unlocks the first mission (alternatively, they could be ordered by the number of missions they contain, or some combination of both). "Chains" of 2 are simple and self-explanatory so I will not include them. Also I will be leaving ALL chains in the summaries table as well as creating this page. Section six would simply inform the reader that some missions (especially those that unlock races) are grouped in chains and then re-direct to the new page (maybe a bit more informative than that but not too much). I know I'm going to get flamed from different directions on this, but please try to stay constructive.

tbh, i use the mission list more than i use the mission summaries, but i can see how that would be different for others. i'd have no issue with having the mission summaries appear earlier, with the mission list closing out the page.
breaking out the mission chains onto a separate page (and linking from the missions page and adding the non-race chains to that page) would be sweet.

As the response seems positive I'll go ahead (tomorrow, when I'm not so tired).
Incidentally, if anyone has followed the Trellith chain so far, I'd like your input. Some of the most recent seem to be missing. Then again maybe I'll just trawl the strategy/beginners hub for all the "is this mission worth it?" and "what does this do?" threads.

Darth Flagitious wrote: *Hands the wiki pen to the British Bulldog* Welsh, if you please (OK, technically that is included in the definition of British, and we do use British English, we just don't like getting mistaken for actual English people). Progress Report: Mission List has been broken out to its own page, and the version in the main missions page reduced to: a) seasonal missions; and b) those missions not yet included in the completed mission summaries (Just the Caelon chain and the new high-level Crimson missions atm) Trellith chain has been brought up to date. Race chains will be broken out tonight. Non-race chains will be added to the new page tomorrow if I have the time. Thanks guys, all feedback welcome.

OK, the work on this is pretty much done. Someone (rank 310+) needs to update the NPC Crimson Spacedock(s) and the drop Crimson Force-Lock(s). That's about it for now.
