 Cloak Bonuses

Maybe someone else asked this and the question has been answered way too many times, but I couldn't find it using the Search tool so I'm asking anyway.

Does anyone know how the Cloak % bonuses overlap? :?:

Zolazin Race +40% Cloak Bonus

Spy Profession +20% Cloak Bonus

Coalition Database Ship Module +8% Cloak Bonus each (Max of 2)

Now for the sake of this discussion we will just use these four bonuses, 2 Dimensional Masking - Mark III Cloaks +621 Cloak each, and 2 Inverse Flux Jammer - Mark III Jammers +761 Cloak each.

Base total is 2,764 Cloak.

Now how on earth do the % bonuses stack? Do they add into one lump % for a total of +76% cloak? Or are they applied one at a time and if so in what order?

I did not include the legion bonus applied when guarding a planet because that % bonus is applied after these bonuses have already been applied to the ship. This question refers to the player's ship total only using the bonuses and cloaking modules listed only please.

I obviously don't have all of these bonuses yet or I might be able to calculate it myself. I'm simply trying to project what my total will be in the future and I hit this snag. I'm curious because at some point I'm concerned that even if I have the maximum cloaking possible I still won't be able to hack enemy players because I know that often you can't because "your cloak isn't high enough." Is this an actual problem when reaching higher ranks? :?:

Thank you very much both for your help and time.

They're applied one at a time, and the order doesn't matter because multiplication is associative (or whichever property that means order doesn't matter).

he's right, even if they stack in different orders the resulting buff is identical

Thank you, I didn't think of that because I thought the % would mess that up.

the only time you have to worry about order is when you have an additive bonus effect instead of a percentage bonus effect....

additive bonuses from modules (like the Modulated Xecti Disruptor's conditional additive bonus) are applied before effects on your effects tab
then you apply any buffs based on the order they're listed on your ship Effects tab...

Dark pyramid is a +50
Stealth optimizer is a +30%
make sure if you're using both, you use dark pyramid first, so it'll get the stealth optimizer bonus as well

percentage bonuses from modules are then applied, then racial and professional bonuses (Zolazin is +40%, Spy is +20%)

scan can be calculated in the same way.... two scan buffs are additive and two are percentage... always make sure when you're using the scan artifacts to apply the additive ones before the percentage ones....
