Someone who is 21 levels higher than me keeps ganking me over and over and over again to the point where this game is no longer fun. Is there an equalizer of some sort?

Also, what's the point of cloak if I can still get ganked every ten minutes?

Perhaps the enemy has your ship in their log. IF that is so, no amount of cloak will protect you. Add more defense/hull to make yourself harder to kill Get help from your legions.

I'm a newb. I don't have a legion yet.

1. Avoid retaliating/using traps as this will put you in their logs. Do keep some cloak so when they lose the target yo your ship, it would make it harder to find you
2. Patience., level as quickly as you can to gain an advantage. Soon your enemies will be left behind as they are actually leveling slower by using the energy to kill people. Generally, mission xp is better than killing someone under your level.
3. No legion, try to get at least one or two people. It may help.

or join a group like Disciples Of Orion or The Dark Side(not recommended you go here unless you like ruining other peoples game).

The only artifact I've tried to use is the Calming Amplifier, but this guy just uses a Containment Missile on me to counter it. I stay in his log because as soon as I repair, he ganks me and raids me again. Perhaps if I just stay disabled for a week...?

Good idea... except there's no fun in it.

You must have done something and still are doing something to his guy, raiding someone does not put them in your log.

Now if I had to recommend something, rank up and ignore him. While hes busy ganking you you can be ranking up to the point in which you can be ganking him. Or as Rob said join one of those groups.

Also you would only have to be disabled for 2 days.

Stay Disabled for 12 or 24 hours and you should be in the clear.

Nope, I've done nothing to him at all. He keeps hacking me and raiding me even though I've remained disabled for almost 24 hours now. He's 22 levels higher than I am now, and all I'm doing is missions, but I'm losing cargo and research points to this jerk like nobody's business.

well hes an a-hole but i guess its cold reminder thats it always best to spend those things the moment you get them.

So, who has a good legion that helps defend newbies like me? My buddy that I'm in a legion with now just started (level 7) and he gets ganked as much as I do.

Well you could add the ppl in he "add me" threads but their unreliable, if your truly, truly desperate you could join one the the facebook groups like DOO.

Darkside seems pretty close nit always willing to help defend people when they are attacked. IDK any others tho.
