Post subject:  mass storage pods
Someone in legion recently said that once you complete a certain mission your odds of getting a mass storage pod goes way up, but he couldn't remember what the mission was.

Anybody know if there is anything that increases your chance to get them? ie the mission he was talking about, different drop rates at different levels, or if collecting with 40k points gives you a better chance than collecting with just over 20k?

There is a mission tier reward of a MSP, but it has nothing to do with your chances of drawing them from artifact points. Generally speaking, the higher your point total is when you cash in, the better your chances of getting a high cost artifact. That's only because of raw numbers, what you draw every time you click is random based on how many points you have available. For example, if you draw at 4000, you will get a random artifact costing less than 4000 points. Any artifact over 4000 cost will not be included determination.

i understand you have to have at least 20,000 artifact points to have any chance of getting a mass storage pod.

Do you have a 1% chance of getting a mass storage pod when you have 20,001 points, and a 3% chance of getting one if you have 25,000 points when you collect a single shipment?

No. No matter how much you have the chance is the same.

If I have 10000000 artifact points (for example purposes only) I have the same chance of getting a spy probe as a MSP as any other artifact... although, with that ridiculous amount of AP, I would probably get one. :D

The only thing that makes a difference is that if your AP is well over 20,000, you'll probably have several chances at an MSP until your draw takes you under 20k.
