Could someone explain the math behind this? While I was under rank 100, I could conquer almost anything I found, but now that I'm up there at 404, my chances for success have dropped to less than 20%, even when my attack is 4X (plus a crapload of special units on my ship to boost invasion), what the defenses are on a planet without a legion bonus. I just don't get it.

Thanks,

Maj

Did you also take into account the planet's attack and Invasion Defense? And the Legion bonus does apply when repelling invasions.

I'm talking about a planet with low defenses dampened even further by planet artifacts, with NO legion bonus at all. It makes no sense when I am informed I had only a 9% chance to invade such an easy target.

I my view that formula seems to work ok enough to calculate the chance of success. However, there is always a chance of failure.

Perhaps Maj could provide exact figures and run them through the formula on the above thread to verify, or falsify the formula. Would be appreciated.
