Purging Planets. Are they really being purged?

Post subject:  Purging Planets. Are they really being purged?
Hey all, i just got 7 purgers today from artifact shipment.
Before i started purging planets my stats said

Planets Found 287

After i purged 7 planets (Planets i purged with tiny extremely sparse etcetc, not alerted planets) why is it that my count for planets found doesn't drop? shouldnt it be at

Planets Found 280 ??

People like Reverus and Mojo have scanned and purged thousands of planets. Is my scanning chances really going up?

The 'Planets Found' does not drop. It will show the peak number of planets you have ever had in your scans.

If you actually go to 'Scan For New Planets' it will show you the correct 'Planets Discovered' number that your scan chance is based on.

Also at the bottom of your planet screen it will say "Filtered from xxx planets." This number is accurate as well.

And, as I've learned recently, if you go to the Scan for New Planets button, the Planets Discovered count does NOT INCLUDE worlds that are alerted to you.
