i discovered this game from a friend and i really enjoy it. i was looking at the programs to get free galaxy points and noticed the direct tv offer, it happens that i have decided to finally get tv after not having it for over 5 years. so i did it and now have over 1200 points. what would you do with them if you were at lvl 30? should i wait to use them? im still new at this game and would love to hear any advice.
thanks.

1. Buy 10 terraformers for the terra project 2. Buy 10 quasi-spatial expanders for the Colossal Project 3. Buy energy to level up lots?
Not sure on 3+, but 1 and 2 have great rewards

1. Buy 12 terraformers (10 for the terra project, 2 to max that planet out to 15x) (432 GP) 2. Buy 11 quasi-spatial expanders for the Colossal Project and to make your above exotic Very Massive (550 GP) 3. Purchase 2 Father Relays (80 GP) 4. 138 GP left... use it when you are out of energy to refill (later in the game), purchase more quasis to enlarge icy (or other types of planets) before you change them.

bithdor wrote: thanks for the quick reply, i figured it would be a complete waste of points to spend on getting energy so i can lvl faster. im going to have to look into these suggestions you make since i dont know what they are. thanks a bunch Actually, my order is wrong. If you can afford the deck space, Fathers should be your first purchase. They are by far the #1 most important item for long term play. Reducing energy recharge time by 10 seconds is a lot. It doesn't seem like it now but it really is.

Then save the rest. you'll probably need them later.

You should buy however many Terreformers and Quasi-Spatial Expanders you need to complete the Exotic and Dyson planet missions as early as possible. You should also by F.A.T.H.E.R relays right away. Both of these give huge boosts that you want to take advantage of right away.
After that I'd say wait until you reach higher levels, around 250 or so and spend it all on energy fill ups. The benefits you'll get from ranking up and colonizing more planets will greatly outweigh the benefits you'd have from spending your points up front on artifact boosts for your ship or planets.
Save yourself enough to buy a pair of Radiant Surge Cannons for when you get higher than rank 500.

Make sure to Flux Probe planets before using the Hyperterraformer or the Dyson Transformer, to make sure nobody has scanned them already.

10 Terraformers. 10 Quasi-Spacials 2 F.A.T.H.E.R.S.
Save the rest for when you are higher level.

If you do what most of the comments here recommend you will have more tech and expenses than you will have decks and planets to support them.
Buy FATHERS Put all your research into scanning. Level only when you find a good planet and need the levels to get an open planet slot Save the rest of the points
Do NOT colonize anything smaller than average AND less than rich DO NOT waste expanders on anything less than 1x DO NOT buy terraformers (you will get plenty if you use your points to buy energy and kill a ton of NPCs with the energy) If you do what everyone else has said you will end up a broke level 600 with crappy planets that you end up spending 200 GP to abandon.

Get the terraformers from NPC's, But you need to get the expanders from galaxy points. I would keep the rest and see. One thing you might want is planet fluxes anytime you see an attack coming on one of your planets or anytime you invade a planet. Fathers are good as is being able the refill energy anytime you want.

the terraformers are a great boost to a noobie player...buy ten and get the hyperterraformer, put some of each production on the resulting planet and it takes the pressure off a little bit to colonise any old tat. this will enable you to be a bit choosy what else you take on and once you start getting terraformers off the npc drops you will be upgrading planets that were decent in the 1st place...win/win the 10 qse's are also a must...once you get your 1st scanned metallic you wont be sorry you did and they're extremely rare drops, so buying makes sense...any that do drop you can buff the aforementioned decent planets...more win/win. i notice the op posted this a while ago...what did you do in the end?
