So in today's update, Dan said:

Maybe it's because I'm a Vygoid Builder, but honestly -- I have no idea what any of that really means.

genetaar, zolazin saboteurs, and taltherian have special 'abilities' that do thing. genetaar drop npc defense or something, saboteurs destroy building structures on enemy planets, and taltherians permanently increase ap production on a planet. These are racial abilities. there are also abilities that you can unlock, like tactical remodulation, which flushes your npc tab. before the update these two things were on the same timer. so if you were a taltherian and you used your urbanize abiliity, it would restart your counter on tactical remodulation. or if you used tactical remodulation it would restart your urbanize timer. now with the update theyre on seperate timers.
