what do the different types of planets change like gas planets toxic volcanic ect what do they do

there are different artifacts that work better with one type of planet and not another. and some have better of one resources then the other types like gas are have more research than the others do the can but for the most part resources are different.

Not realy anything tbh. Although yes gas tend to be larger and only have research, terra's tend to have decent amounts of all 3, etc, outside of exotics and dysons rarity realy doesn't mean anything. The only things you should worry about are size, resource modifiers, and what artifacts can be used on it.
