Hi, I'm attempting to raid a level 30 ship and I'm lvl 66 and I always fail... What's the problem?
Thanks! :)

while it could just be the RNG Goddess not in your favour its probably that you dont have enough crew to give you a fair chance of a successful raid.

success is based on your crew size versus theirs. A normal success gets you some of their minerals, which are normally empty and usually paltry when present anyways. A critical success gets you an artifact even though most of the good ones are instantly used and the rest of the good ones are un-raidable. It is sort of disappointing to most people.

Other times it's worth it. I have got Kurenite with a raid in game. I have also gotten many good artifacts.

How can he have more crew than I do? He's lvl 30 I'm 66... I most likely have double the crew size... :P Please explain :) Or am I not getting the sense of what crew really is?

Thank you to everyone else who answered. I see there are some missions who require having done successful raids... and since I'm currently at 0, I'm trying to get some done and I'm a total n00b to that... hehe

crew is a combination of Engineers,Tactical Officers, Helmsmen, and Scientists. If your crew is not enough in comparison to your target youll have low chances of successfully raiding someone.

Raid rolls twice.. One for normal success roll then 2nd roll is for chance of crit..

I would assume that normal success rate if your crew has 100 and the defender has crew of 100 then the success rate would be 50% (just a common sense) assuming both classes aren't raiders.. Raiders class will increase the success rate..

I don't know what 2nd roll would considered a crit chance either failure or success..
