Do other people regularly hit you with harmful artifacts? If not, get rid of all but one stack of the Containment Cages. I keep one stack of 3 uses just in case I ever need them, but always scrap the rest since I don't actually use them. I would personally hold on to the rest, but that's just because I can see them having a purpose even if you don't plan to use them right away. |

I stacked four cage stacks of 3, it is all one stack. I have never been hit by a harmful artifact. |

I usually set any trap I get... none of those on your list are really worth scrapping IMO. The credits are paltry and they all have a theoretical use. You can either get more cargo space or start sh*t in PVP to clear out some room. I get most of my cargo space FROM artifacts. |

I recived a planet flux artifact yesterday, no need for it, seems worthless to scrap. |

I always use my planet fluxes as soon as I get them. Since they remove the planet from everyone's lists, I always use them on my best planets. |

I would use a flux probe first. |

NEVER scrap a planet flux! I always check to see which of my best planets have been scanned and flux them. If none have been scanned, I save it for my next invasion. After invading, you flux the planet, and you won't have to worry about the previous owner knocking on the door. |

FuriousRage wrote: maybe people dont have super xtra spicy 200 x mega super duper rich planets and many people dont invade = flux = scrap metal I know I don't. That's why fluxes are so important... When you find one that IS super xtra spicy 200 x mega super duper rich, and is settled, you can steal it and flux it. If you don't, you can be sure the owner will be doing EVERYTHING in his power to take it back! ![]() Of course, you MIGHT be lucky enough to find a super xtra spicy 200 x mega super duper rich that's unsettled. Then, it's important to have a flux so that you can keep it undiscovered. |

Use it on a planet that is still unscanned by anybody but yourself. It will make me feel better. I'll pay you to do that instead of scrap it. |

Here is what I think you should do Red text = Scrap/Sell this item Green Text = Keep This Object for later Yellow Text = set/use this object now White Text = Depends on your play style in which case read suggestions after that artifact Unstable Wormhole Emitter (uses left:2) IF You are planning to invade planets guarded by other players keep them. Otherwise scrap them -- this doesn't usually come up unless you are trying to get a planet back or the person has been attacked by members of your legion Ion Storm Charge If you plan to invade an enemy planet SOON (as in within the next week or so) EMP Sphere Only bother to keep for planet invasion If you don't plan to hit an enemy planet in a week or two scrap it Containment missile Only bother with to get a planet, or if you want to get some PVP under your belt and you need an edge. Otherwise scrap! Disarming BombOnly bother with to get a planet, or if you want to get some PVP under your belt and you need an edge. Otherwise scrap! Tachyon Cylinder (uses left:2) Use these the next time you want to scan for a planet Containment Cage (uses left: 12 ![]() Quantum Firewall Trap set traps now Stryll Seeker (uses left: 2) Go fight some NPCs The Glavis Device Only use this when you want to change races or jobs. Planetary Aegis After you get a planet from an enemy. Planet Vortex deflector Only use this when the time is right Ion Repulsor Charge use on a planet you want to guard now if you are low on space or wait and use it on a planet you capture Sentry Guards (uses left: 4) Use one or two now on your best planets just for the hell of it, why not? save 1-2 for in-case you take a planet from someone or yo get a notice one of your planets was attacked, but they are pretty pointless in that case usually planets are taken fast.. Shield Sentries Same as above Grav Whip Trap (uses left: 2) Traps just use so they don;t clutter up your cargo, you can't predict when you might be attacked. (though you could lower your cloak to 0 to try to get hit to have them get a trap set off in their face too) Alarm Sentry (uses left: 2) these are traps put them on 1-2 good planets to protect them for a week at a time |

I gifted someone ~50 worthless artifacts a few hours ago because they wouldn't stop repairing me back when DOO was hounding me. |

the way i see artifacts and cargo space fight. Artifacts very valuable, maybe not right now, maybe not in the next two weeks, but still have the occasion to use them. i currently have 100+ artifacts sitting in my cargo hold, with 300 worth of cargo space. what is the only negative downside? more clicking when recieving mineral shipments, and sometimes space problems when unequipping some items what not. but i just have a standard all around set of devices on my ship that change around from time to time, but everything else i just use once and sell it. Install it again when i feel i have the need for it. Also having an overload of artifacts kind of makes you want to actually use them, therefore bringing balance to your game...and the force |

Del, I get your point. I hold onto most of my artifacts too because I am planning to be in the situations they provide, but if space were a premium I would scrap some of the ones I'm least likely to be using. I think that was Rob's intention he's low on space and 30 units is probably like 1/3 of his cargo hold, so he wanted help thinking of a prioritized list. That is why I gave him recommendations. I think a player who was very into PvP or aggressive wouldn't have as much concern about the space thing, so I tended to want to suggest to him to scrap all of the PvP stuff. ~Q |
